The Beggars Arkive BBC sessions is a UK-based limited edition subscription series featuring ten sessions recorded for John Peel. As promised, a selection of the sessions will be available individually in very limited numbers to North American customers, and so far these have included The Fall and Stereolab.

This release is the U.S. black vinyl version of the 1982 BBC Radio Session from Bauhaus.

Bauhaus (Daniel Ash, Peter Murphy, David J, and Kevin Haskins) were renowned for their gloomy sound and dark image. John Peel first saw Bauhaus perform in their hometown of Harpole, Northampton, at a John Peel Roadshow event in June 1979. During their early years, Peel frequently played many of their songs. They recorded this Peel session at Maida Vale on March 13, 1982.
